James Macdonnell Joins SEPI Engineering & Construction as Remediation Department Manager
Local Firm Hires Engineering Professional with More Than 17 Years of Industry Experience

In this position, Macdonell will use his more than 17 years of experience to oversee management of remediation projects, as well as business development efforts in both the public and private sector.
Originally from British Columbia, Canada, Macdonnell graduated with honors with a bachelor of science degree in geology from the University of Alberta in St. Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Prior to joining SEPI Engineering & Construction, he spent 11 years with URS Corporation in New York City, primarily working on environmental, geotechnical, water and wastewater construction projects. Additionally, Macdonnell worked for three years for a junior exploration and mining company on gold and diamond exploration projects in South America and Africa, and spent three years as an environmental consultant and contractor in New York City. Active in his community, Macdonnell is a member of the Carolina Geological Society (CGS) and coaches youth hockey teams in Apex, N.C., where he resides with his wife, Kate, and their children, Samantha, Julia and Cooper.
