Girls on the Run of WNC Partners with Eagle Soars Consulting
Eagle Soars Consulting has been accepted as an Elite Sponsor of Girls on the Run of WNC.
Asheville, NC, December 21, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Girls on the Run of WNC announced today they will be partnering with Eagle Soars Consulting to help build greater awareness of the organization and its mission. As an Elite Sponsor for Girls on the Run of WNC, Eagle Soars Consulting will be providing marketing assistance to the non-profit throughout 2013. The consulting firm will also donate 10% of every marketing contract back to the organization that comes about as a result of a referral from Girls on the Run of WNC.
Girls on the Run of WNC is a non-profit organization that reaches over 1,000 third through eighth-grade girls in 14 counties across Western North Carolina. Since inception in 2002, they have impacted more than 6,200 girls with their unique curriculum designed to strengthen girls physically, emotionally, and socially so they are better-prepared to face the pressures of adolescence.
According to Amy Renigar, Executive Director of Girls on the Run of WNC, “Our program is designed to empower girls in the early years of their lives so they are able to develop strength, courage, and self-respect. These girls are then in a better position to make healthy choices as they face the challenges of adolescence and adulthood.” The 12-week, 24 lesson curriculum combines self-esteem enhancing life-lessons, discussions, and running games in an encouraging, girl-positive environment where girls can feel free to express themselves and build their confidence.
Renigar adds, “We’ve grown over the years because of a great response from the local schools and our volunteers. But we can’t do it on our own. It takes members of the community, like the principals at Eagle Soars Consulting, to come alongside and recognize the importance of our mission.” In response, Anne Lazo, owner of Eagle Soars Consulting, says, “It’s more important than ever to grow strong, confident girls. We’ve always had a heart for empowering young women and we believe this partnership will give Girls of the Run of WNC the added assistance they need to reach more girls in this area.”
Eagle Soars Consulting has made a long-term commitment to being a responsible member of their local community. “We recognize the need to collaborate with other business owners and non-profit organizations like Girls on the Run of WNC,” states Lazo. Over the years, Eagle Soars Consulting has been instrumental in helping launch a number of non-profit organizations. In response Renigar adds, “This partnership is a win-win-win for everyone, but more importantly, it will allow Girls on the Run of WNC to better serve the young girls in this area.”
