SATA CommHealth Wins the Singapore Prestige Brand Award in the Special Merit Category
Singapore, Singapore, December 22, 2012 --(PR.com)-- SATA CommHealth having celebrated its 65th Anniversary in October this year received more accolades when it clinched the Singapore Prestige Brands Award (SPBA) in the Special Merit category.
SATA CommHealth (formerly known as the Singapore Anti-Tuberculosis Association or SATA), has a long-standing tradition of caring for the community since its pioneering efforts in Tuberculosis (TB) control. Since then, it has been caring for the community through its outreach efforts as well as the numerous community health screenings conducted three times a year throughout the Singapore heartlands.
Held annually and now into its 11th year, SPBA continues to recognise and honour the various Singapore brands that have developed and effectively managed their branding initiatives.
For SPBA 2012, there were five Award Categories, namely SPBA - Promising Brands SPBA Established Brands, SPBA - Heritage Brands, SPBA - CIMB Regional Brands and last but not least SPBA - Special Merit category where government agencies and not-for-profit organizations that have been established for at least three years are eligible to participate. The winning 49 brands were shortlisted from over 100 submissions for the five Award Categories; out of which, 19 brands who were past winners have emerged as Winners for the SPBA 2012. In the Special Merit category, only two winners were announced by the SPBA panel, of which SATA CommHealth was one of the winners.
“Winning the Special Merit award this year and the Heritage Brand award in 2011 gives SATA CommHealth a further boost in our branding efforts. This award further recognises the effort and the hard work put in by the staff when we rebranded in 2009 and kept the momentum going” Dr K Thomas Abraham, Chief Executive Officer of SATA CommHealth.
