Washington Mystics Join the Movement to Stop Multiple Sclerosis

The Washington Mystics WNBA team, with the help of Virginia Realtor - Gina Tufano have partnered with the DC chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society to raise funds to find a cure for MS.

Washington, DC, July 26, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Gather up your family, friends and neighbors – buy discounted tickets to one of the last Mystics home games of the season and support a worthy cause.

Gina Tufano, a Northern Virginia Realtor, has teamed up the Washington Mystics with the National Capital Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society to join the movement towards a world free of MS.

Multiple Sclerosis interrupts the flow of information from the brain to the body and stops people from moving. Every hour in the United States, someone is newly diagnosed with MS, an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system. Symptoms range from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis. The progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted, but advances in research and treatment are moving us closer to a world free of MS. Most people with MS are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 50, with more than twice as many women as men contracting the disease. MS is neither fatal, nor contagious, nor inherited; the cause is not yet known.

MS affects more than 400,000 people in the US, with over 6,000 in the DC metro area alone. Perhaps you know someone who has MS. Here is your chance to help.

Purchase tickets today to see the Mystics play New York Liberty, Chicago Sky or Connecticut Sun at: www.mysticstix.com/nmss.html

With each ticket purchased $6 will go directly to NMSS.

“What a thrill it is to see a WNBA game and support such a worthy charity at the same time!” says Gina, “I encourage everyone to attend.”
