Pet Owners Pay Tribute to Fallen Pet Vet
Veterinarian memorial walk unlike any other
Redondo beach, CA, July 25, 2007 --(PR.com)-- This past Saturday, July 21, 2007, several patients and their owners participated in a memorial walk for Dr. Omoto, a widely loved veterinarian who lost her battle with breast cancer. The walk culminated at Dr. Omoto's clinic.
Admired and respected by various national rescue groups and organizations, Dr. Omoto also served the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol and K-9 units from several police departments.
She often took pets home that needed overnight observation post surgery.
"We had patients' dogs in our bathroom, our closet, our bedroom," says Randy Beezley, Dr. Omoto's husband (now widower).
When Dr. Omoto learned her cancer had spread to her brain, she hung up her stethoscope and prepared for the final phase of life.
