The tournament will be run with the class and professionalism of an elite sporting event and already has many high profile players and personalities registered to attend. Some attendees include the #1 Air Hockey player in the world, Billy Stubbs as well as former world champions Davis Lee Huynh and “The Air Hockey Guru” Mark Robbins as seen in the award winning documentary “Way of the Puck.” General viewing is open to the public and everyone is welcome.
Irvine, CA, December 26, 2012 --(PR.com)-- proairhockey.com announced today the 2013 California State Air Hockey Championships will be held at Dave & Busters (71 Fortune Drive #960 Irvine, CA 92618) on February 23, 2013 at the upscale Irvine Spectrum Shopping Experience.
General Info: The tournament is the first of its kind in Southern California. The tournament will be run with the class and professionalism of an elite sporting event and already has many high profile players and personalities registered to attend. Some attendees include the #1 Air Hockey player in the world, Billy Stubbs as well as former world champions Davis Lee Huynh and “The Air Hockey Guru” Mark Robbins as seen in the award winning documentary “Way of the Puck.” General viewing is open to the public and everyone is welcome! Come down and see what world class Air Hockey looks like at this historic event.
About the organizers: playairhockey.org and proairhockey.com were both established by Cory Dzbinski and Kimberly Wenskay in November of 2011. In January of 2011, Play Air Hockey LLC set a goal of donating 6 commercial Air Hockey tables to Boys & Girls Clubs in the San Diego area in 2012. In September of 2012, just 9 months into the year, Play Air Hockey LLC donated its 6th commercial quality Air Hockey table to the cheers and thanks of excited Boys & Girls Club members. We found a need for these game tables and fulfilled it.
Proairhockey.com was formed to educate about the interesting and technical aspects of competitive Air Hockey. We also created an iPhone and Android smartphone app called Air Hockey Coach that teaches people how to play competitive Air Hockey. It is the first and only app of its kind ever released. All of these achievements and more were accomplished from thought to execution by just two individuals in under 9 months’ time.
Cory Dzbinski & Kimberly Wenskay also brought competitive organized Air Hockey to Southern California, an area that previously had no ranked players or competitive organization within the sport. Their organization and efforts have brought more than 30 ranked players to the sport of Air Hockey from the Southern California area.
