Betfair and ThirtyThree First Past the Post in the Ri Fivers
It was a close run thing as Betfair’s new careers site left the competition in the dust, scooping the Ri Fiver for Summer 2012 with developers ThirtyThree.
London, United Kingdom, December 31, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The Ri Fiver Awards encourage creativity in web development, stimulating and inspiring excellence in the field. Of ThirtyThree’s collection of well-crafted entries it was Betfair.jobs that went on to claim victory.
Betfair’s careers site joins the ranks of previous ThirtyThree designs selected for innovative design and user experience.
The news came as Betfair prepares to sponsor the 2013 RAD Awards in January. The upcoming awards showcase outstanding recruitment campaigns, judged on innovation, skill and effectiveness.
In the company’s signature grey and gold, the site’s stunning design makes quite an impression. It’s simple and easy to navigate for candidates, and its pages are sprinkled with interesting data and anecdotes. The site also features a collection of films about working for the brand, which are proving engaging for both candidates and judges.
"… one campaign stood out: Betfair came across through their films as more human and therefore as a more attractive employer. Strong typographically, the site is simple, the films exude personality, and it’s the people who ultimately sell an organisation."
- Hugh McQueen, Ri Fiver Judge
“I thought there was some good work in the entries, but the one that held my attention for the longest was the Betfair site. I think it captured the personality of the organisation and there were some lovely elements. Simple, but good.”
- Chris Bennett, Ri Fiver Judge
The new site advertises the types of roles available with Betfair, from the obvious commercial roles in sports and gaming, to the less so – including security and analytics roles as well as their annual graduate scheme.
