Securities America’s Winters Wins FPA Nebraska Scholarship
Securities America’s margin, trading and cashiering manager, Aaron Winters, received a CFP® Scholarship from the Financial Planning Association of Nebraska. Winters joined Securities America in 2008, holds a bachelors degree in business administration and series 4, 7, 24, 53, 55 and 63 securities licenses.
Omaha, NE, January 02, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Aaron Winters, Securities America’s margin, trading and cashiering manager, received a CFP® Scholarship from the Financial Planning Association of Nebraska.
The $1,000 scholarship is given to students pursuing the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation. In 2005, Securities America announced it would contribute $2,000 per year to the FPA Nebraska Scholarship Fund. In recognition of that contribution, FPA Nebraska named one of the awards the Securities America CFP® Scholarship.
Winters has been with Securities America since April 2008 when he began in the Operations Department as a trade support specialist. In the summer of 2010 he moved to the Compliance Department where he served as an analyst of branch exams before being promoted to his current position in the summer of 2011.
Winters holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance and banking from the University of Nebraska-Omaha and completed the CFP® Board’s education requirement through Metropolitan Community College. He also has a Certificate of Achievement in Financial Planning and holds the Series 4, 7, 24, 53, 55 and 66 securities licenses. Winters is an alumni advisor for Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity and served on Securities America’s 2012 holiday charity drive committee.
