In the month of January, Women on the Verge and its members will be taking a look at Civility and the need for it in today's society.

Tucson, AZ, January 02, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Online Community of Women Unite in an Effort to Exercise Civility

With an onslaught of violence and tragedy weighing heavy on our hearts, we come together showcasing that power lies in community kindness and compassion.

"We can't accept events like this as routine. Are we really prepared to say we're powerless in the face of such carnage?" - President Barack Obama at an interfaith vigil in Newtown, Conn.

In order to regain our civility and help others regain theirs, an online community of women band together in order to honor the human spirit.

"Civility" is the topic of the month that the Women on the Verge members will explore via their online community blogs, Twitter, Vlogs and BlogTalkRadio show. "In the past few years, our communities have suffered at the hands of senseless violence. In reaching out to each other, we are able to overcome and rise above it. This month we seek and honor the meaning of true civility and kindness and rise as a community of Women on the Verge," says founder and member Ana Lewis about the topic of the month.

Heidi Graf, Women On The Verge member has this to say about civility: “You can always come home, here @womenontheverge because kindness lives here within each heart that beats & each soul that speaks.” As a special feature, we will post more than 100 quotes from our members, such as Ms. Graf, and Twitter followers collected every single day as monuments to kindness and spreading civility. Please hashtag #kindness or #civility for the month of January to be included.

The Women On The Verge blogs, which garner 1,000,000 hits per month, are the main feature of the community and have landed the website in the pages of Marie Claire magazine. The community also boasts an additional 10,000+ followers on social media. Members span all over the world and include New York Times bestselling authors, entrepreneurs and mothers.
