Spice Foundation Unites All Religions on "Global Dharma Day" in New Delhi
Eminent religious leaders share their perspective on the need for "Global Dharma."
New Delhi, India, January 05, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Spice Foundation today organised the Global Dharma Day to seek the perspective of spiritual leaders across various religions on "Global Dharma in an era of equality." To celebrate this occasion, a panel discussion was organised to discuss the need of Global Dharma.
During the panel discussion, leaders from different religions agreed to the need of Global Dharma, as this would bring equality and harness togetherness in the nation. Religious leaders shared instances and references of other religions that perfectly depicted a sense of unity and oneness amongst the array of religions in India.
The event focused on consciousness, humanity and unity thereby guiding people to move from Sin to Sun and from illness to wellness. The spiritual gurus guided the audience towards the path of Dharma. H.H Swami Chidananda Saraswati Ji shared interesting insights mentioning that “Global Dharma comes from Global Consciousness. When we shift from ‘I to We’, we develop Global Consciousness.” He also stressed that “when, I becomes We, then Illness becomes Wellness.” H. H. Acharya Roop Chandra Muniji highlighted that “we should move from I to You to be able to move to We.” Archbishop Vincent M. Concessao stressed that “we must contribute to the good of others and impart the gift of joy.”
The panelists included Swami Chidananda Saraswati Maharaj Ji, President and Spiritual Head of Parmarht Niketan Ashram in Rishikesh, Swami Dewan Syed Zainul Abedin Ali Khan from Ajmer Shrine, H.H Shankaracharya Swami Divyananda Theertji of Bhanpura Peeth, H.H Acharaya Shri Roop Chandra, President Manav Mandir Mission, Ven. Lama Lobzang, Vice President Mahabodhi Society of India, Dr A.k Merchant, President Bahai Community, Imam Umer Ahmed Ilyasi, the global face of the Imam Organization, Phalahari Baba, Ezekeil Issac Malekar Priest and Honorary Secretary of the Judah Hyam Synagogue, Bharmakumari Sapna, Father Dominic Emanuel and Archbishop Vincent M. Concessao.
Sharing his views on Global Dharma, Dr B.K Modi said “2013 is a year of new beginning, knowledge and spirituality. With this day we have sowed the seeds of Global Dharma, and inter faith dialogue. With youth relying on technology for almost everything, it is time to bring innovation in religion as well so as to match with the new times. India has been a country that has been always open to new thinking and we strongly believe that we will see greater acceptance of Global Dharma in times to come.”
“We will organise many such sessions and platforms in the near future to continue our efforts to make Global Dharma a success and further strengthen the inter-faith dialogue between various religions,” Dr Modi further added.
The event closed with a spiritual performance by Dhwani.
