Candle Manufacturer is Donating Up to $10,000
For Every Body will select one woman with breast cancer to receive up to $10,000 in financial aid, and items donated by sponsors such as a car, groceries for a year, gasoline, and other items to help make her life easier.
Lindon, UT, July 26, 2007 --(PR.com)-- A Utah based company has under 1,000 stories about women with breast cancer, and they are looking for more. One woman will be selected to receive up to $10,000 in financial aid, and items donated by sponsors to help make her life easier.
For Every Body, a candle and air freshener manufacturer, has supported breast cancer awareness for the past eight years by donating candles valued over $14,000 to local hospitals for women who receive a mammogram in October.
This year For Every Body plans to expand their support of breast cancer by donating candles with a value of $18,000 to local hospitals in October, and also help one woman with breast cancer emotionally and financially.
For Every Body is partnering with local businesses to give the woman selected items such as a car, a computer, groceries for a year, gasoline for a year, spa treatments, nanny services and other items and services.
Friends and family are encouraged to submit stories of their loved one suffering with breast cancer to www.foreverybody.com until October 20. Women with breast cancer may also submit their own story.
The National Cancer Institute estimates that a woman in the United States has a one in eight chance of developing invasive breast cancer during her lifetime. This risk was about one in 11 in 1975.
“I have been touched by the stories I’ve heard from some of our employees and their family members who have someone in their families who have suffered from breast cancer,” said Becky Lunceford Anderson, founder and co-owner of For Every Body. “I feel very strongly about creating better awareness of breast cancer, and helping one woman through this difficult disease.”
