Johnstown, NY, July 26, 2007 --(PR.com)-- An area writer’s new book, Me and Mr. C, has just hit the retail market. A work of mainstream literary fiction, this book sheds new light on the ancient role of ‘The Mentor’ in society.
Me and Mr. C, covering a time-span from 1985-2018, fictionalizes many all-too-real aspects of American culture and the development of youth within this culture. The title character, Mr. C, is a contemporary model of the archetypal mentor that is, and has long been, so sadly lacking as a presence in our industrialized nation. Humanity absolutely demands the influence of this archetypal mentor. The effects of his/her absence can be observed in everyday life today and serve as a backdrop for the near-future of America as it exists in Me and Mr. C.
In a time of quick and easy answers, this book instead prompts the reader to take the time to start considering some more important questions. It is a refreshing change in perspective.
At under two-hundred pages, Me and Mr. C is not an intimidating read. The meaning contained within it, however, is more powerful than its small stature would suggest. Mr. Montana did not waste words in writing this little gem.
Me and Mr. C is available in paperback through your local bookstore and at various online retailers, including Barnes and Noble and Amazon.com. Hardcover editions are available exclusively through Mr. Montana’s online storefront at Lulu dot com.
