Wilsonville Entrepreneur to Compete for $10k Package in Online Reality Show, "Prosperity’s Kitchen"
Wilsonville, AL, January 07, 2013 --(PR.com)-- For Wilsonville entrepreneur Tiffany Manley, her creativity and drive to succeed were two of several ingredients that helped her earn a spot on the premiere season of the groundbreaking online competition reality show “Prosperity’s Kitchen.”
Tiffany is the proprietor of Sweet Phenomena, a company she started after she found herself homeschooling her daughter. Since she wasn’t homeschooling for religious reasons (and she never planned to homeschool), it was hard for her to find resources. Tiffany decided to create some for homeschoolers just like herself. Her company also works to create resources for parents, schools, and shelters to help them educate kids about domestic violence in an age-appropriate manner.
Story of Triumph
Tiffany has always known that she wanted to be an entrepreneur, although she wasn’t quite sure how she’d get there. She grew up in a home where her mother was abused, and they had very little money. If she was going to get there, she’d have to figure out how to get there on her own. Tiffany excelled in high school and was awarded several college scholarships, including a full ride to an out-of-state college. But she decided to stay close to home and attended a community college instead. Ten years, a marriage, and a baby later, Tiffany received her college degree, the first in her family to do so. Since then she has started several successful businesses. With the help and support of her husband and daughter, Tiffany continues to find ways to help others, and to give back to those who are growing up in circumstances similar to hers.
Auditions
Tiffany learned about Prosperity's Kitchen by a chance visit to a website she’d never seen before.
“The idea intrigued me, and I immediately recognized the unique opportunity it presented. Fear was holding me back, though,” said Tiffany. “Fear stifles progress, and I want my business to realize its full potential. I want to continue to do what I love, and do it well. I know this opportunity can make that happen, win or lose, and I want to be a part of it. Helping myself and helping others can only bring good things. So I decided to give it a shot.”
Tiffany made it through three rounds of eliminations before being selected as one of 15 contestants for the show. Her audition video is available on YouTube here: http://youtu.be/clPOJmeK0Kk
While competing for a $10K prize package as they learn to market themselves online, the contestants will be mentored by 12 guest experts including Gina Bell, Tara Gentile, Diane Conklin, Deborah Gallant, Danny Iny, Erika Napoletano, Mike Michalowicz, Pamela Slim, Ann Smarty, Lori Taylor, Johnny Truant and Steven Washer.
The premiere season of "Prosperity’s Kitchen" has been dubbed the solopreneurs’ edition and is being presented by BIGSTOCK.
Tea Silvestre, the executive producer and host of the show, said the contestants will be in “class” and tackling missions for 12 weeks beginning January 21, 2013.
Each week contestants are given real marketing tasks and within 48 hours to a week the task is completed and a review of the task with prominent business executives is done in the “kitchen.”
Contestants will work together in teams of three (assigned by the show) and accumulate points for best job on a particular mission – both as a team and as an individual. Judging criteria are based on task profitability, leadership skills, communication, innovation and exploration of new opportunities.
