Innovation Direct™ Inventor Moves Forward with Provisional Application for Patent on Brake Tester Lights Concept

Miami, FL, January 10, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Innovation Direct™, a leader in the invention assistance field since 1997, recently facilitated the process of the filing of a provisional application for a patent for California resident and inventor Neil Freeman on his Brake Tester Lights invention upon his request. The Brake Tester Lights is an innovative new product designed to help vehicle owners perform an important safety check on their automobiles. Mr. Freeman initially submitted information about the Brake Tester Lights to Innovation Direct™ in August 2012 on the company’s Confidential Product Outline. Shortly thereafter, a Product Management Services Agreement proposal that is intended to provide the Brake Tester Lights with the optimal level of exposure to potential licensees through a variety of promotional and descriptive materials, including press releases, a digital rendition, an online product profile, an interactive virtual reality presentation, and participation in multiple and diverse industry-leading trade shows each year, was presented to Mr. Freeman. Exhibits that Innovation Direct™ has attended in recent years include the SHOT Show, the International Home and Housewares Show, the National Hardware Show, Licensing International, the SEMA and AAPEX Shows and the ERA D2C Convention.

In September 2012, Mr. Freeman opted to contract Innovation Direct™ to represent the Brake Tester Lights to potential licensees for a 2 year period under the terms of the Product Management Services Agreement. The terms of the agreement also included Innovation Direct™ referring Mr. Freeman to an independent patent law firm for the filing of a provisional application for a patent on the Brake Tester Lights. The application was officially filed on October 15, 2012 and is valid for the term of one year. Prior to its expiration, Mr. Freeman will have to decide whether or not to opt to have the independent patent law firm convert the application to a non-provisional version.
