Jay Blumenkopf Named Fellow of Litigation Counsel of America
Boca Raton, FL, January 12, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Boca Raton attorney Jay Blumenkopf of the law firm of Gonzalez Saggio & Harlan LLP, has been selected as a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America. Blumenkopf is a partner in the firm’s Labor and Employment Law Group. The LCA is a trial lawyer honorary society comprised of less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers. A 1973 graduate of the University of Vermont, Blumenkopf received his Juris Doctor degree from Vermont Law School in 1976 and his LL.M. from New York University in 1981. Blumenkopf regularly represents corporations and insurance companies in federal and state courts throughout the United States.
Fellowship in the LCA is highly selective and by invitation only. Fellows are selected based upon excellence and accomplishments in litigation, both at the trial and appellate levels, and superior ethical reputation. The LCA is aggressively diverse in its composition. Established as a trial and appellate lawyer honorary society reflecting the American bar in the twenty-first century, the LCA represents the best in law among its membership. The number of Fellowships has been kept at an exclusive limit by design, allowing qualifications, diversity and inclusion to align effectively, with recognition of excellence in litigation across all segments of the bar. In addition, the LCA is dedicated to promoting superior advocacy, professionalism and ethical standards among its Fellows.
Blumenkopf is Chairman of the Board of Directors of One Heart World-Wide, whose mission is to save the lives of indigenous women and infants, one birth at a time. One Heart’s life-saving skills programs were initially established in Tibet. It currently has programs in Nepal and the Copper Canyon of Mexico, where it works with the Tarahumara people. Blumenkopf has also traveled to the Democratic Republic of the Congo with Congolese basketball legend Dikembe Mutombo to explore the establishment of a One Heart program in the Congo. He is soon leaving for the Jungles of Ecuador on a fact-finding mission for One Heart.
