Mims Distributing Company Adds Foothills Brewing to Its Roster
Distributor Expands Beer Selections with Brands from Winston-Salem Brewery
Raleigh, NC, January 13, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Mims Distributing Company (http://www.mimsdistributing.com), a beer distributor that services a nine-county area in and around the Triangle, has announced that it has added Foothills Brewing brands to its roster. Based in Winston-Salem, N.C., Foothills features 16 seasonal and year-round hand-crafted beers, including its flagship beers, Hoppyum IPA and Carolina Blonde.
An icon of the southern craft beer scene, Foothills began brewing beer in 2004. Since that time, the company has gained a loyal following in central North Carolina. Additionally, Foothills has garnered numerous awards for its products, including seven Great American Beer Festival medals and three World Cup Beer medals, more than any other North Carolina brewery.
That success prompted Foothills to expand its brewery a year ago, relocating the bulk of the brewing operation from the company’s popular downtown Winston-Salem brewpub to a 50,000-square-foot facility. Foothills is increasingly focusing on bottling and six-pack distribution, which led to its partnership with Mims Distributing.
Other brands offered by Foothills include Pilot Mountain Pale Ale, Torch Pilsner, People’s Porter and Seeing Double IPA. Foothills Hoppyum IPA, Torch Pilsner and People’s Porter are available in six-packs, as are Foothills’ more recent brand acquisitions, Carolina Blonde and Cottonwood Endo IPA. All Foothills products will be available at retailers served by Mims Distributing Company.
