Pet Age Publisher Makes PPN’s 25 to Watch List
Craig Rexford took over the 41-year-old magazine beginning with the January 2013 issue.
Somerset, NJ, January 13, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Craig Rexford, publisher and vice president of Pet Age magazine, was named to Pet Product News International’s 25 to Watch in 2013 list.
Rexford appears third on the list after President Barack Obama and Charlie Sewell, executive vice president of the Pet Industry Joint Advisory Council.
The magazine wrote of Rexford: “The new publisher of Pet Age magazine – and former publisher of Pet Business – puts his stamp on the trade publication starting with the January 2013 issue. What changes does Rexford have planned now that Journal Multimedia, of Somerset, N.J., has taken the reins from H.H. Backer Associates.”
“It was a surprise and honor to make the list,” Rexford said. “From a complete redesign of the magazine and website, to all the digital offerings and social media strategy, we are creating a must-read brand for the pet industry.”
Rexford has close to 30 years of sales, marketing and pet industry experience. He’s spoken about advertising and other business topics both domestically and internationally, and is a sought after expert on pet industry trends.
“We were pleased to have the opportunity to add Pet Age to our family of media offerings at Journal Multimedia,” David Schankweiler, CEO of Journal Multimedia, said. “What makes that work for us and bring value to the readers of the magazine is having Craig’s considerably strong leadership and industry knowledge. I am confident under Craig the brand will expand by improving the publication, growing the Web content and adding additional services and information for our audience.
Journal Multimedia, based in Harrisburg, Pa., produces a variety of publications, events, web products, video, software and research for niche markets, and is the parent company of the Central Penn Business Journal, NJBIZ, Lehigh Valley Business and Central Penn Parent.
Pet Age is produced out of Journal Multimedia’s New Jersey offices.
