The Chairmen’s RoundTable Elects New Board of Directors
Steven Mendell will serve second term as chairman of non-profit organization.
San Diego, CA, January 15, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The Chairmen’s RoundTable (CRT), a San Diego non-profit organization that provides pro-bono mentoring and strategic advice to the region’s businesses, announced today that it has voted in a new board of directors.
Steven Mendell will serve his second term as CRT Chairman.
“We are ready to put in another year dedicated to serving San Diego businesses,” said Steven Mendell, CRT’s Chairman. “There is nothing quite as gratifying as being able to put our ‘been there done that’ experience to work for local companies and their leaders who find themselves at a point where they aren’t sure what they should do next. They can benefit from the successes and quite frankly the failures that our mentors have been through and hopefully find a winning strategy to move them forward.”
Steven Mendell has more than 25 years experience leading established and early stage organizations in the medical device and biopharmaceuticals businesses. He headed European marketing and German operations for Becton Dickinson and is the former chairman and CEO of XOMA Corporation. He served as president and CEO of LMA Medical Corporation and Prizm Pharmaceuticals. Mendell has also served as chairman for a public university foundation and was appointed to the NASDAQ corporate advisory board. Over the years he has been recognized for his achievements including being named the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year and being awarded the Gold Chief Executive Award in Biotechnology.
The balance of its 2013 board of directors appointments: Kevin O’Neill - Chief Financial Officer; David Oates – Vice Chair, Marketing; Richard Earnest – Vice Chair, Mentor Development; Steven McCracken – Vice Chair, Partner Relations; Mac Clarke – Vice Chair, Quality Assurance; Esther Rodriguez – Vice Chair, Client Acquisition; Vern Yates - Vice Chair, Program Development; and Cory Grant – Vice Chair, Sponsor Development.
Terrance Bruggeman, Jeff Campbell, Alan Creutz, Bill Lofft and Michael Tedesco depart the board after selflessly serving the organization and its mission to strengthen San Diego one company at a time.
