Scope Technologies Announces Europe’s First OBD Based Pay As You Drive Program with Amaguiz
Paris, France, January 16, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Scope Technologies, a leading and fast growing global telematics technology provider announced Europe’s first in-vehicle OBD (On Board Diagnostic port) based Pay As You Drive (PAYD) program with Amaguiz, a Groupama subsidiary in France dedicated to selling insurance over the internet.
The launched program since April 2012 is aimed at simplifying the flow of information using Scope’s OBD based mileage and driver behavior monitoring device. The device can be self installed by the consumers themselves on the OBD port in their cars and will be used for all new insurance for Amaguiz.
In addition to using Scope’s unique patent pending hardware offering, Amaguiz is also utilizing Scope’s specially designed tools and processes inclusive of inbound stock management, reverse logistics, Usage Based Insurance (UBI) management databases, benchmarked installation, testing and maintenance processes and helpdesk support tools to effectively monitor, manage and maintain the customer base on the program.
Over the last 12 years, Scope has been in the forefront of technology development for the fleet and insurance markets. Notably, the company also launched its UBI subsidiary named DriveProfiler in 2011.
