Lancaster, PA, January 16, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Rainbow Dinner Theatre, the only all-comedy dinner theatre in the United States, is set to kick off their 29th year of making showgoers laugh on Friday, January 25, with the production "Have I Got a Girl for You." Written by Jon Lonoff, this modern comedy about romance tells the story of a blind date gone horribly wrong, leading to love gone terribly right, for two of the least likely people.

"Have I Got a Girl For You," running through Wednesday, March 13, features a large, lovable, lonely-heart woman named Maureen who is ready to give romance one last shot when her pushy sister sets her up on a blind date with sweet, yet awkward Joe. Maureen relies on sharp wit and wisecracks to cover her feelings. Joe is a simple guy who can't contain his eagerness. They are perfect for each other, even if they won't admit it.

"While this is truly a funny comedy, the play has a real heart," said Rainbow Dinner Theatre Artistic Director, Cynthia DiSavino. "The audience really becomes involved with these two imperfect people, as they discover that beauty is truly more than 'skin deep.'"

What others are saying about "Have I Got a Girl for You" (original title, "Skin Deep"):

"It's a little Paddy Chayefsky, a lot Neil Simon and a quick-witted, intelligent voyage into the not-so-tranquil seas of middle-aged love and dating. The dialogue is crackling and hilarious; the plot simple but well-turned; the characters endearing and quirky; and lurking beneath the merriment is so much heartache that you'll stand up and cheer when the unlikely couple makes it to the inevitable final clinch." - NYTheatreWorld.com

"Warm hearted comedy... the laughter was literally show-stopping. A winning play, with enough good-humored laughs and sentiment to keep you smiling from beginning to end." - TalkinBroadway.com
