Carol A. Beals is Chief Executive Officer of the Beals Institute, P.C. She has dedicated 25 years of the service to the Institute. Dr. Beals has a Diploma of Nursing from Harrisburg Polyclinic Hospital, a B.S.N. and a Doctor of Medicine from Michigan State University, East Lansing. Dr. Beals specializes in Osteoporosis, Arthritis and Autoimmune Disease. She is ABIM Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology and Certified in Bone Mineral Densitometry. Dr. Beals is the recipient of the Governor’s Award, the Best Doctor in America Award and Outstanding Women of the Year Award in 2002 as well as other awards and honors. She is the author of numerous publications and journal articles. She considers some of her career accomplishments to be her integrated and comprehensive approach to the medical treatment of arthritis, autoimmune diseases and osteoporosis. She is a leader in the field of osteoporosis starting in 1989 and has done more than 25,000 Bone Mineral Density Tests. She is a leader in the testing, prevention and treatment of osteopenia to severe osteoporosis and infusion service for state of the art biologic medications for inflammatory arthritis and intravenous treatment for osteoporosis. She has a holistic approach to medical treatment and emphasizes the mind-body-spiritual connection.
Dr. Beals has traveled to 15 foreign countries. She has an eclectic art collection of American Indian pottery, blown glass from Venice and U.S., paintings from multiple countries and artists, Oriental rugs and Israeli sculptures. She is an amateur photographer and enjoys music and theatre.
