Howard Siegel, CEO of Irwin Siegel Agency Appointed as Governing Board Member and Treasurer for a newly formed Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Bronx, NY.

(ISA), a leading provider of Specialty Insurance Programs for Social/Human Service Providers, is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Howard Siegel, CEO of Irwin Siegel Agency, as a governing Board Member and Treasurer for a newly formed Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) operating in Bronx, NY.
Mr. Siegel has always been a strong supporter both personally and professionally of local, state and national organizations that enhance human service programs, and brings a unique combination of innovative thinking, business experience and progressive leadership to the governing board. Board governance is required by the United States Department of Health and Human Services for all FQHCs receiving Section 330 grants. As Treasurer, Mr. Siegel will play a key role in setting organizational policy and developing a strategic plan for long-term financial sustainability.

In recent years, Mr. Siegel has served as an Advisory Board member of Reaching Up, Inc., a non-profit organization that cultivates future leaders within the field of developmental disabilities. He assisted in the creation of a division within the American Association of Mental Retardation (AAMR) called the National Alliance of Direct Support Professionals (NADSP) and has held memberships with the Brain Injury Association of NY and Alliance for Nonprofit Governance. The Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce awarded him Business Person of the Year in 2010 and the National Safety Council recognized him as a leader of “Best Practices” in safety for those with disabilities.
