Tri-Star Design, Inc. Appoints Robert Sullivan as Chief Operating Officer
Hopkinton, MA, January 17, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Tri-Star Design, Inc., a leading design services company for the Robotics, Wireless, Medical Instrumentation and Consumer marketplaces, has announced the appointment of Robert Sullivan as Chief Operating Officer.
In this new role, Mr. Sullivan will lead the expansion of the company’s position in the areas of Robotics and Automation as well as extend its manufacturing capabilities.

Rob brings over 24 years of experience as a senior operational and technical leader with expertise in engineering, manufacturing and program management. Prior to Tri-Star Design, Rob was President of Symbotic, a start-up robotics company that introduced a revolutionary case management system to the distribution space. Rob was also employed at Brooks Automation for over 12 years, where he held various engineering positions, most notably as Vice President of Engineering, Critical Components Division, where he oversaw research, new product development, product engineering, reliability engineering, program management and laboratories. Previous to that he spent seven plus years at Raytheon where he was a Hardware Design and Development Lead Engineer. Rob holds a Master’s of Science in Engineering Management and a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
