Neandersmall and the Egg is a finalist for this year's best children's eBook at the Publishing Innovation Awards organized by Digital Book World.
Oyster Bay, NY, January 17, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Bish Bash Books, a children’s book publisher, is pleased to announce that Neandersmall and the Egg has been shortlisted as a finalist for best children’s eBook at this year’s Publishing Innovation Awards. The Awards are organized by Digital Book World and the winners will be announced during the Conference and Expo being held in New York City (Jan 15-17, 2013).
“We are very proud to have been selected,” said Danielle Taylor, Co-founder of Bish Bash Books. “Our aim is to provide quality children’s eBooks that make it fun to read and learn. Being shortlisted for this award confirms we are leading the way when it comes to children’s eBook development.”
Neandersmall and the Egg was written and illustrated by Sam Walshaw. Ms. Walshaw has written a number of children’s books including Maisey and the Pirates and the Little Fairies series. Neandersmall and the Egg is the first in a series of eBooks to feature the charming Neandersmall character that will be released during 2013. Neandersmall and the Egg is aimed at children from 2 years onwards and combines a page turning story, stunning illustrations, music and interactive narration.
The eBook was created in collaboration with Rockpool Children’s Books and Inkebooks. The strategic alliance between Bish Bash Books, Rockpool Children’s Books and Inkebooks is critical in bringing innovative children’s eBooks to market.
“We want to be a premium brand for original children’s eBooks and we are looking to bring to market emerging authors and illustrators,” said Taylor. “Neandersmall and the Egg is a great example of how eBooks are making the reading experience more interactive and fun.”
Bish Bash Books will continue to release a number of quality children’s eBooks during the course of 2013 including its first range of children’s non-fiction eBooks. Other eBook formats will also be released to support Amazon’s Kindle Fire and Barnes and Noble’s Nook HD.
Neandersmall and the Egg is available for the iPad and iPhone from iBookstore.
