OmniMD’s EHR Receives CCHIT Certification for All 44 Meaningful Use Clinical Quality Measures
Tarrytown, NY, January 19, 2013 --(PR.com)-- OmniMD™ announced today that its OmniEHR™ versions 11.0 and 11.2 and ProviderNet 11.2 have received certification on all 44 Meaningful Use Clinical Quality Measures (CQMs) from the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT®), for ONC-ATCB, in accordance with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. The 2011/2012 criteria support the Stage 1 meaningful use measures required to qualify eligible providers and hospitals for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). OmniMD is a division of Integrated Systems Management, Inc.
“We are very happy to receive the formal certification for compliance to all Meaningful Use Clinical Quality Measures,” said Divan Da’ve, CEO. “Very few EHRs/EMRs (electronic medical records) have been certified on all 44 CQMs. Our complete electronic health record helps our customers meet the goals and objectives of Meaningful Use with easy-to-use, cloud-based software, customized for 34 specialties.”
According to the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Clinical Quality Measures (CQMs) are tools that help CMS measure and track the quality of healthcare services provided by eligible professionals and other eligible providers within our healthcare system. These measures use a wide variety of data that are associated with a provider’s ability to deliver high-quality care or relate to long term goals for healthcare quality. CQMs measure many aspects of patient care including: health outcomes, clinical processes, patient safety, efficient use of healthcare resources, care coordination, patient engagements, population and public health, and clinical guidelines. All providers must report on CQMs in order to demonstrate Meaningful Use under the Medicare and Medicaid Electronic Health Record (EHR) Incentive Programs.
