Herbert Hoover Iowa Legislator Public Service Award - Nominations Being Accepted
West Branch, IA, January 19, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The Herbert Hoover Presidential Library Association is now accepting nominations for the 2013 Herbert Hoover Iowa Legislator Uncommon Public Service Award.
Any Iowa Legislator that stands out to you as going above and beyond the duties he or she has been elected to do is eligible for this award.
The Herbert Hoover Presidential Library Association annually presents two Uncommon Public Service Awards to recognize Iowa Legislators who demonstrate uncommon and extraordinary public service to the people of Iowa. Each year an award is presented to one member of the Iowa House and one member of the Iowa Senate who exemplify Herbert Hoover’s humanitarian efforts and commitment to public service with their leadership, honesty, integrity, work ethic and generosity, above and beyond their legislative responsibilities.
Past recipients have been: 2007 - Sen. John Kibbie (D) and Rep. Scott Raecker (R); 2008 - Sen. David Johnson (R) and Rep. Mark Smith (D); 2009 - Sen. Dennis Black (D) and Rep. Jeff Kaufmann, (R); 2010 - Sen. Daryl Beall (R) and Rep. Lance Horbach (D); 2011 – Sen. Robert Dvorsky (D), and Rep. Annette Sweeney (R); 2012 – Sen. Steve Sodders and Rep. Royd Chambers.
Nominations for this award are open to the public and we encourage you to submit your vote for the Iowa Legislator you feel is most deserving of this award.
