Sunshine Mail Foundation Participates in Volunteer Fairfax’s Give Together: A Family Volunteer Day

Sunshine Mail Foundation will participate in Volunteer Fairfax’s Give Together: A Family Volunteer Day, on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day in three locations throughout Fairfax County, VA. Sunshine Mail Foundation provides children in need with comfort, support, and joy through free Sunshine Mail Care Packages. Sunshine Mail is filled with handmade cards, care essentials, and other age-appropriate items and is delivered to children in hospitals, foster care and homeless shelters.

Fairfax, VA, January 19, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Sunshine Mail Foundation will participate in Volunteer Fairfax’s Give Together: A Family Volunteer Day, on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day in three locations throughout Fairfax County, VA.

Sunshine Mail Foundation provides children in need with comfort, support, and joy through free Sunshine Mail Care Packages. Sunshine Mail is filled with handmade cards, care essentials, and other age-appropriate items and is delivered to children in hospitals, foster care, and homeless shelters, including Shelter House, Inc., in Northern Virginia.

“Sunshine Mail Foundation is thrilled to participate in this special event where families will join together to create tote bags to be given to children in need” say Stephanie Busby, Founder and Executive Director of Sunshine Mail Foundation.

Volunteer Fairfax has focused on building community through service for 37 years. They provide more than 10 programs and 25 services to promote volunteerism in the community.

“Volunteer Fairfax is excited to host the 4th Annual Give Together: A Family Volunteer Day,” says Jeanne Sanders, Executive Director of Volunteer Fairfax. “This day provides an opportunity for families to volunteer together, which is so important in creating life-long habits of service. The impact this day has on our community is huge, and we express our thanks to those who will be spending the day with us.”

The day will consist of three different shits at the following locations:
· Jewish Community Center: 8900 Little River Turnpike, Fairfax, VA 22031
· Herndon Senior Center: 873 Grace Street #1 Herndon, VA 20170
· Lorton Workhouse Arts Center: 9601 Ox Road, Lorton, VA 22079
