Walk-On's New Orleans Unveils Big Plans for the Big Weekend
Private functions, VIP Tailgate and Viewing Party on tap at Walk-On's, Roux House just blocks from the Superdome.
New Orleans, LA, January 18, 2013 --(PR.com)-- As the sports world turns its attention toward New Orleans, football fans looking for the perfect venue to enjoy the festivities need not look far. Walk-On’s Bistreaux & Bar, located just three blocks from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, is gearing up for the action with a line-up of special events fit for a champion.
On Saturday, February 2, Walk-On’s is erecting a massive tent behind the restaurant to cater to private corporate groups. With sponsors, fans and other visitors descending on the Big Easy to cheer on their favorite teams the next day, what better place to entertain the faithful than at the “Best Sports Bar in North America,” as voted by ESPN?
Companies in Boston and other contending cities interested in reserving space in the private party tent – which will feature live entertainment along with Walk-On’s signature Louisiana-style food and drink specialties – need to act fast, while space is still available. Refundable deposits will be accepted, based on Sunday’s game results.
“No matter which teams are playing, we know their cities will send a strong contingent of fans, including companies that want to treat their guests to a true Louisiana experience without breaking the bank,” said Brandon Landry, co-founder and owner of Walk-On’s and its parent company, Last In Concepts. “We offer the perfect set-up, right in the thick of all the action, with a wide array of unique food and drink options available through Walk-On’s Catering.”
On Sunday, February 3, fans have several options for teaming great food and drinks in a classic New Orleans setting. Walk-On’s is offering an all-inclusive pass that entitles the guest to a four-course spread of Louisiana cuisine, open bar, friendly service provided by beautiful servers and more television screens than you can shake a crawfish at. Tickets are now available for pre-purchase at just $250 per person, making it one of the best values in town.
Upstairs from Walk-On’s, at its sister concept The Roux House, the same all-inclusive line-up of great food, open bar and outstanding service can be pre-reserved at just $200 per person.
The fun continues outside under the big top, where Walk-On’s is hosting its Big Bowl Bash, a VIP Tailgate Party running from noon to 4:00 PM, prior to the game. The party will featuring celebrity appearances, including Troy Landry of the History Channel’s hit show “Swamp People,” special performances by such New Orleans favorites as the Saintsations cheerleaders and NBA dance team members from the Hornets Honeybees, live New Orleans jazz and zydeco music and an all-inclusive seafood buffet and open bar. Walk-On’s VIP Tailgate Party is just $400 per person, but a buyout option is also available.
Fans looking for the next-best place to watch the game can also purchase $100 tickets for the Big Bowl Bash Viewing Party, which will follow the VIP Tailgate under the giant tent, from 4:30 through the final whistle. Food and beverage credits equaling the $100 ticket price will be provided to each paying customer.
The fun continues with a Post-Game Party, featuring live music, great food and drinks. Ticketholders to the VIP Tailgate and/or Viewing Party are welcome to attend the Post-Game Party at no charge. Additional tickets are available for just $20 per person.
“This place is going to be hopping all weekend, and we’re looking forward to showing our out-of-town friends how we do it in Nola,” said Jack Warner, Landry’s business partner. “The phones are already ringing off the hook with folks reserving their spots in the restaurant and out in the tent, so we’re pretty certain we’ll be sold out long before we get to the big weekend.”
ESPN and ESPN Radio will also be broadcasting from Walk-On’s throughout the weekend.
Corporate groups and individuals interested in purchasing tickets to any of the events planned for Walk-On’s and The Roux House should contact Katie McNulty (katie@lastinconcepts.com) or 504-982-5695 as soon as possible.
Walk-On’s is located at 1009 Poydras Street in New Orleans, just three blocks east of the Superdome. For more information, visit www.Walk-Ons.com.
