Forest of Angels, Inc. Distributed $8750.00 to Local Charities

Plantation, FL, January 19, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Forest of Angels is a community organization that partnered with businesses to raise money for well-known charities. Local businesses purchased and decorated Christmas trees and competed for votes to see which business had the best tree. Each business selected a charity whose cause they support. The charity will now receive a donation on behalf of the business that it partnered with for the event.

The beautiful trees were on display at the Broward Mall for all to enjoy from November 17 to December 23, 2012. Hundreds of shoppers voted and took part in the event that will benefit many good organizations that dedicate themselves to helping people live better lives.

Participating businesses and charities were given the results of the contest on Wednesday January 9, 2013. The celebration luncheon was held at Bahama Breeze in Sawgrass Mills.

During this time the winners were announced and the charities received their prizes. The first place winner was Padrino’s Cuban Cuisine and their charity, Sheridan House Family Ministries, received $5000.

Second place winner was Bahama Breeze of Sunrise and their charity, Blessings in a Backpack, received $2500.

Third place winner was South Florida Youth Athletics and they chose three charities who shared $1250. The charities that shared the winnings were Arthritis Foundation, Ramat Shalom, and Hadassah.

Forest of Angels will continue with the project and will hold the Forest of Angels event in 2013. They look forward to even greater participation in 2013.
