Talamas Offers Cost Effective Delkin Devices Products to Sound Devices Users
Boston, MA, January 24, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The approval of Delkin Devices CF and SD cards for use with Sound Devices audio equipment is good news for Talamas Sales and Rentals clients who have rented or purchased Sound Devices 644 field production mixers or 700 series digital audio recorders.
When the results of Sound Devices’ successful testing of Delkin’s 633x/163x 16GB SD Cards and CF700X 16GB CF Card were released in November 2012, Talamas had already been an authorized Delkin dealer for some three months; a move spearheaded by Sales Representative, Kari Papadinis. The aim, she says: “To offer our clients an alternate removable storage medium and an opportunity to purchase them from a company with a great deal of knowledge of Sound Devices products."
Other storage media approved by Sound Devices were available previously and Delkin products were already being used by sound mixers and recorders with the 664 and 700 Series recorders although not yet officially approved. It is a prerequiste that media be approved by Sound Devices to be supported by the company, insure software compatabilty, and the most dependable performance.
“Basically, until now, there was limited availability of approved storage mediums and they were, frankly, more expensive. So, since the release of the 664, which takes SD and Compact Flash, we’ve been looking for a more cost effective solution for our clients,” Papadinis says. “We anticipated that Sound Devices would approve Delkin Devices storage mediums and that securing a deal to sell those products would benefit Talamas’ clients. And it does, she adds. “It essentially halves the cost of media storage for our end users.”
