Chef Roblé Ali and Pyknic Collaborate on Food Themed Clothing Line, "Food Porn"
Pyknic announces its collaboration with Roblé Ali of Bravo Television's "Chef Roblé & Co." on "Food Porn," a food-themed clothing line.
Philadelphia, PA, January 30, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The streetwear clothing line, Pyknic, has just released the debut range of its "Food Porn" collaboration with Bravo Television star, Roblé Ali, of "Chef Roble & Co."
Four designs consist of photographs taken at Chef Roblé Ali's Brooklyn, NY kitchen, three of which the celebrity chef and Culinary Institute of America (Hyde Park) alumnus personally cooked and food-styled. The unique food-themed prints are featured on soft goods: t-shirts, crewneck sweatshirts, and hooded sweatshirts.
Pyknic was worn by Roblé throughout the first season of "Chef Roblé & Co." which premiered in the fall of 2011 on Bravo. The "Food Porn" collaboration had been in talks for a couple years before being released to the public on January 28th, 2013.
Pyknic's "young and hungry" mantra resonates with their worldwide supporters of all backgrounds as inspiration to seek out dreams with hard work rather than becoming a product of society's expectations.
"Besides our friendship, the partnership was only natural," says Stephen Thompson, 26, a DeSales University '09 (Center Valley, PA) graduate, "Roblé embodies Pyknic's "young and hungry" beliefs. He worked his way up to become who he is today rather than just being satisfied with anyone else's expectations besides his own. The synergy between Roblé and our brand is so great that we'll be keeping a lot of fans on their toes with our releases."
Thompson created the lifestyle brand as an outlet for his culture of food, sport, friends, and music. Pyknic has also been featured in “The Source” Magazine and was named to Bloomberg Businessweek’s America’s Best Young Entrepreneurs 2010. Food Porn's premium t-shirts are illustrated with food concepts in mind, retailing between $28 on their website (www.pyknic.com/foodporn).
