ARGI Financial Partners with Family Scholar House as Largest Annual Fund Corporate Sponsor
Louisville, KY, February 02, 2013 --(PR.com)-- ARGI Financial Group, a Louisville, Kentucky-based financial planning firm, has chosen the Louisville-based charity, Family Scholar House, to partner with starting in 2013. The partnership will include both a monetary commitment, making ARGI their largest annual fund corporate sponsor, and a time commitment, where ARGI will provide financial education to the families in the program. In addition, their fall golf event will now be the ARGI-Family Scholar House Golf Scramble with ARGI volunteers helping to plan and run the event.
ARGI has always had a large commitment to community involvement and charitable giving, and was named a Finalist in the last two year’s Republic Bank We Care Awards, however, this is the first year ARGI chose one charity to support by donating a percentage of revenue and involving all employees in volunteer efforts. A committee of employees chose Family Scholar House after researching several non-profits in the area. Teams from both organizations have been meeting since late 2012 to discuss details of the partnership.
Family Scholar House is a rapidly expanding non-profit that provides supportive housing and educational assistance for disadvantaged single-parent college students and their children in order to end the cycle of poverty and empower families to succeed. They change lives, families, and communities through education. ARGI was founded on the principal that education and financial understanding is vital to successfully make the best decisions concerning your future, with Education still remaining a core value to the firm 18 years later. The commitment to education made this a unique fit for both organizations.
ARGI Managing partner Joe Reeves stated, “We are extremely proud of our Charitable Committee’s work in finding Family Scholar House. I absolutely think they’re the best match for us to partner with. They have a wonderful organization and unique philosophy with a strong leadership team to drive their success. We are excited to join alongside them and provide help in every way possible moving forward.”
Cathe Dykstra, Family Scholar House President and CEO, had this to add: “Family Scholar House welcomes ARGI as a partner in our work to improve the quality of life not only for this generation but for generations to come through attainment of formal educational goals and an understanding of personal financial management. We look forward to having ARGI employees actively involved with our annual Golf Scramble and, most importantly, with our families.
