National Concierge Association-Nevada Chapter Announces 2013 Board of Directors
National Concierge Association is pleased to announce the results of its 2013 election for the Nevada Chapter Board of Directors.
Las Vegas, NV, February 03, 2013 --(PR.com)-- National Concierge Association Nevada Chapter concierge members elected Jason D. Baker to the position of President for a fourth term. In 2007 Baker joined VEGAS.com as the Concierge and Retail Sales Manager where he led a group of over one-hundred thirty dedicated concierge professionals located over fifteen properties. In March 2011 Baker joined Entertainment Benefits Group as the Director of Las Vegas Operations. He currently oversees the daily operations of concierges, call center and operations. He is an active member of the National Concierge Association, currently serving as President of the Nevada Chapter. He was instrumental in the growth of the Nevada Chapter with a membership increase of nearly 65% during his term as President. He is also a Certified Concierge, a designation within the National Concierge Association signifying participants dedication to their profession.
Phillip Samaniego has been elected as Vice President. Samaniego started his concierge career in 2009 when he joined Vegas.com. While working at Vegas.com, Samaniego was awarded the Les Clefs d'Or Art of Concierge Scholarship and attended The international School of Hospitality in 2010. Most recently he joined the concierge team at Vdara Hotel & Spa. Samaniego feels that being a part of the concierge community is very important and tries to attend every concierge function in the city. He is excited to serve as vice president.
Nicholas Reis has been elected as the Director of Marketing. Reis moved from Florida to Las Vegas in 1995 as a child and has been a Concierge for 3 years. His first concierge position was at Palace Station, followed by the Flamingo and most recently Westin Las Vegas. Reis is currently employed with Entertainment Benefits Group where he has been for the last year. While at EBG he has joined the Fun Committee and helped plan team building events.
Rebecca Mayhew has been elected as the Director of Membership. Mayhew - a native Texan, moved to Las Vegas in late 2010. Over the years, Mayhew has been a Concierge at several of DC's finest hotels, and in Tour Sales and Marketing. Currently Mayhewworks with EBG as a Sales Specialist in the Grand Canal Shoppes, where she is able to combine her love of both sales and "concierg-ing". She holds a degree in French and Spanish, and is delighted to have the opportunity to use these languages just about every day with Vegas visitors...she intends to learn Portuguese, too. Finally, she has been an active member of many networking organizations, and served on the Boards of NCA both in Las Vegas and DC.
Trent Orzechowski has been elected as the Director of Administration. Orzechowski is originally from Dallas and most recently came from San Francisco. He has been in Las Vegas for about a year and half and has been with TimeWise Concierge since then. Orzechowski worked at One Las Vegas and The Ogden and was promoted to the Lead position at one about a year after starting with the company. He says his proudest moment in his career has been accepting this board position at my age.
Brian Dickson has been elected for a second term as the Affiliate Liaison. Dickson has been with Walters Golf for over 12 years and has been instrumental in the growth of the Walters Golf Group amongst the concierge community. He has served on the Board of Directors as the Affiliate Liaison in years past and has been involved in the many and varied philanthropic endeavors of the National Concierge Association.
Debbie Kaye has been elected to serve as Parliamentarian. Kaye is the original founding President of the Nevada Chapter and has remained a longstanding member since 2001. Kaye is the Vice President of Business Development for TimeWise, Inc., which is a full service concierge and lifestyle management company. TimeWise, Inc. is represented at various luxury residential properties throughout Nevada. Kaye is heavily involved in the concierge community and has been in the industry for nearly twenty-six years. She is an advocate in supporting the community by donating her time in many philanthropic endeavors.
Sally Oyer has been elected as director of finance. Oyer has worked as a Convention Services Specialist for Just ask. Where since 2009, providing concierge services for conventions in Las Vegas. Under her direction, Just ask. Where went from 12 to 39 conventions yearly. Recently, she helped to open the Orlando Convention Market with Just ask. Where. Oyer has been a member of the NCA - Nevada Chapter since 2009 and is beginning her second term as director of finanace. Oyer attended TISOH in the Art of Concierge. A native of Ohio, Oyer has lived in Las Vegas since 2007. She is married with three grown daughters and LOVES living in Las Vegas.
