Los Angeles, CA, February 04, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Dree Paterson, indie artist and two-time nominee for Best Female Singer Songwriter and Hot Adult Contemporary Single, makes her music video debut with her hit, "Waiting (When I See You), released to the masses via YouTube Monday, February 4, 2013.
In a world where your boyfriend is a douche bag and you're not willing to sit back and let life happen around you, Paterson's lyrics and video take us on a journey of a girl who decides to simply stop, "waiting" and take life by "the balls." The video features, Paterson stylishly dressed in vintage and contemporary costumes, her male co-star glued to his cell phone, kiddie pools, back-up dancers, a simple set and her full band.
"Waiting (When I See You)" was directed and co-produced by, Donte Murry who has directed the short films, "Upside Down Frown" and "The Batting Cage." Murry is currently in post production on his first feature film, "The Vipassana Order" and in pre-production for his next short film, "Supervillains Anonymous."
The video was completely funded via an Indiegogo campaign, a website catering to artists, film-makers and musicians alike, to raise money for their projects wilst giving back to the donaters. When asked about the concept of the video, Paterson says,"It was based on the idea of childs-play and the nostalgia you feel when you wish you could escape back to those days when you were a kid, especially when you are in stuck a relationship with a guy who doesn't pay attention to you and fantasy seems like a much more fun place."
The single, "Waiting (When I See You)," was released digitally in Spring 2012 and has been featured on KPFK's (90.7 fm) program "Hear in the City." It can also be heard on Nette Radio, Revolver Underground, and Eye Rocks Radio.
Already accredited for television placements on hit TV Shows, NBC's 'Parenthood' and the USA network's "White Collar," Dree Paterson is one of LA's best kept secrets -- until now -- and is ready to show music lovers what she's made of.
