Florida Artist’s Work Reflects Revival of Classical Realism
Boynton Beach, FL, February 07, 2013 --(PR.com)-- At the upcoming American International Fine Art Fair, Eric Bossik, a top Florida artist, will exhibit nude figure drawings that exemplify the resurgence of classical realism in the art world.
Mr. Bossik will display some of his most striking drawings of nude figures at the fair, which will be held February 5th - 10th at the Palm Beach County Convention Center inWest Palm Beach, Florida. Mr. Bossik’s drawings, done in charcoal, white chalk and sanguine, will be exhibited in the Armory Art Center’s booth.
Eric Bossik regularly teaches at the Armory Art Center, a Florida art school and gallery, where local residents can learn how to draw and paint. Mr. Bossik teaches students drawing and painting methods used by the old masters like Rembrandt and David. “By passing on traditional painting methods to my students, I feel that I’m helping to usher in the rebirth of classical realism,” says Mr. Bossik.

For decades, there has been a shifting landscape of styles in the contemporary art world — from impressionism to abstract art forms. The revival of classical realism is a relatively new and growing trend. Eric Bossik’s drawings and paintings are reminiscent of the old masters and reflect the new movement toward traditional painting.
Mr. Bossik has spent years studying the human figure, and his nude drawings are exceptional examples of classical realism. “My work gets better and better because I constantly challenge myself,” says the artist. “I compete with the old masters and try to achieve what they’ve accomplished.”
Eric Bossik is a graduate of The School of Visual Arts, a New York art school. After receiving a BFA in fine art, he continued his studies at John Frederick Murray’s private New York-based atelier. Mr. Bossik has since moved to South Florida to continue the tradition of teaching classic art methods and to paint commissioned portraits for private art collectors.
Mr. Bossik’s work has been exhibited at New York and Florida museums and art galleries, and his upcoming exhibition at the American International Fine Art Fair will show his most recent work. The artist is also the author of the instructional oil painting e-book, How to Create an Underpainting Like the Old Masters: A Step-By-Step Guide.

Eric Bossik is an accomplished artist who has won numerous awards, including the HTAL award of excellence and the Grumbacher award for portraiture. His paintings have been exhibited at the Society of Illustrators, the Salmagundi Art Club, the Art Director’s Club of New York, the Heckscher Museum, the Roslyn Fine Arts Museum, the Boca Raton Museum of Art, the Armory Art Center, and the Cornell Museum.
