Innovation Direct™ Inventor Takes Important Initial Step with Filing of Provisional Application for Patent on Baugh Car Protector Invention

Mr. Baugh initially submitted information about the Baugh Car Protector to Innovation Direct™ in September 2012 on the company’s Confidential Product Outline. In October 2012, Mr. Baugh opted to contract Innovation Direct™ to represent the Baugh Car Protector to potential licensees for a 2 year period under the terms of the Product Management Services Agreement. The terms of the agreement also included Innovation Direct™ referring Mr. Baugh to an independent patent law firm for the filing of a provisional application for a patent on the Baugh Car Protector. The application was officially filed on January 2, 2013 and is valid for the term of one year. Prior to its expiration, Mr. Baugh will have to decide whether or not to opt to have the independent patent law firm convert the application to a non-provisional version.
