Australia's Cheer Chick Charlie Line Set to Take U.S. by Storm at NY Toy Fair

Popular Australian children's author, Leanne Shea Langdown partnered with Cheer Channel CEO and PSME Properties to launch the Cheer Chick Charlie boxed book set (doll and book) in the US at the NY Toy Fair, February 2013.

Austin, TX, February 09, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Cheer Channel Inc. (CCI), the #1 online news and entertainment network for the spirit industry, announced that popular Australian author, Leanne Shea Langdown, together with CCI''s CEO, Cindy Villarreal, who serves as the product development and branding agent on behalf of PSME Properties, will attend publishing and television meetings in the U.S. The pair will also launch the new Cheer Chick Charlie (CCC) doll and book box set at the American International Toy Fair, hosted by the Toy Industry Association February 10-13, 2013 in New York City.

CCC author Leanne Shea Langdown retained PSME to further the brand for licensing, television, and world-wide publishing rights. The CCC Collection includes books, bags, Charlie doll and accessories, cheer apparel, and the new CCC boxed book set which includes a book and doll.

The CCC collection was originally introduced in Australia in April 2012 as a children''s book series. The character series will now expand the brand globally to retailers with strategic plans for brand distribution. Shea Langdown was inspired to begin writing the Cheer Chick Charlie series after a trip to the U.S. and decided to bring cheerleading to her hometown in Canberra, Australia. The series promotes confidence, resilience, health and fitness.

"Being so involved in the cheer community in Australia, I wanted to create a concept that could inspire kids to grow and work towards something that they love," said Shea Langdown. The American International Toy Fair will be held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in NewYork City from February 10 to 13, 2013. This is the 110th annual Toy Fair hosted by TIA. Toy Fiar is expected to attract more that 1,000 exhibiting manufacturers, distributers, importers, and sales agents from around the world. The showcase includes everything from infant, youth, children, tween and teen products in action figures, puzzles, construction, books, arts, videos, and many other products.
