Local Area Representative Celebrates Five Years with Go Au Pair

Chicago, IL, February 14, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Lauren Singdahlesen’s life changed more than five years ago when she studied in Norway. During her time there she found that the best way for people to learn tolerance and acceptance was through an international exchange. When Lauren returned home she decided she wanted to facilitate international exchange, and this is when she found Go Au Pair. This month Go Au Pair recognized Lauren on her five-year anniversary with the company, for her outstanding work as Local Area Representative in Chicago.

“Lauren has always been a very consistent and quality Local Area Representative in the Chicago area for us. She knows her position and we never have to worry about tasks being completed and her families and Au Pairs being taken care of,” said Erin Mortensen, Local Area Representative Coordinator. “She's been a great asset to Go Au Pair and it is a pleasure to work with her.”

There have been times over the years where Lauren has needed to team with Go Au Pair to resolve issues with Host Families and their Au Pairs.

“Go Au Pair has been professional since day one. I feel like I have amazing support in Utah, even though I have never been there. I have worked with some placement coordinators so long I feel like I know them. They have the best intentions for Au Pair and for the Host Family.”

Lauren is grateful for the chance to participate in this unique cultural exchange, and challenges her host families and Au Pairs share their culture with one another. Some of her trade secrets include treating each Host Family/Au Pair match like it is different from the last.

“It is important to approach every family and every Au Pair differently. Everyone has different needs and motivations,” said Lauren. “When you know what their motivations are, you can support them and help them accomplish their dreams.”
