Vaultize Launches Endpoint Encryption to Complement Its File Sharing and Endpoint Backup for Businesses and Enterprises
File Sharing and storage vendor Vaultize launched corporate endpoint encryption this week to complement its file sync/sharing and endpoint backup offering – everything available under a single enterprise-managed platform.
Mountain View, CA, February 15, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Continuing the focus on protection of business critical unstructured data - file sharing and endpoint backup vendor Vaultize launched endpoint encryption – further helping businesses secure their sensitive data on endpoints to comply with regulations, maintain privacy and protect Intellectual Property (IP). With this new feature, enterprises will be able to enforce encryption of important files on endpoints to protect against data leakage in case of lost or stolen devices. Vaultize’s endpoint encryption works in-place and is completely transparent to the users and applications that use the files.
Vaultize’s current offering brings together a number of features, that businesses otherwise have to acquire separately from multiple vendors, including file sync and sharing, endpoint backup, endpoint encryption and Google Apps backup - all managed from a single administrative console.
“On-disk encryption fits naturally with file sharing and laptop backup. A well-designed and fully-integrated solution not only reduces the overheads of managing many different solutions from multiple vendors, but also brings better protection and control of unstructured data within the organization,” said Anand Kekre, CEO and Co-founder of Vaultize, while speaking at ICAI International Conference on the topic of Cloud Computing.
Depending on which deployment option the customer adopts, enterprise-wide endpoint encryption can be controlled through a centralized administration console from Vaultize public cloud (hosted in Rackspace), private cloud (hosted on-premise or with any cloud provider of customer’s choice) or "Cloud-in-a-box" appliance.
Data security has been the primary inhibitor preventing enterprises from adopting cloud solutions. At-source encryption together with de-duplication from Vaultize helps them eliminate concerns about securing file sharing and endpoint backup data. Vaultize’s patent-pending technology secures data by encrypting it even before it leaves endpoints for backup or sharing – completely protected while in-transit as well as while stored in the cloud. Last month, Vaultize also unveiled Data Privacy Option (DPO) for enterprises – helping them comply with various data privacy, data residency (sometimes known as data sovereignty) and data protection regulations. DPO is an innovative concept through which Vaultize lets its enterprise customers retain the full control over encryption keys.
