NY Web Design Firm Skygate Media is Proud to Announce the Launch of Z Hospitality Group's Homepage Re-Design

Greenwich, CT, February 15, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Skygate Media is proud to announce the launch of the re-designed homepage for Z Hospitality Group. Z Hospitality has relied on Skygate Media for its website maintenance needs since 2010 so when it came time to modernize their look, expand their branding messages and incorporate a responsive web design, they already had the relationship with their chosen web design and development company.

Z Hopsitality Group previously consisted of 5 restaurants in the Westchester and Fairfield County areas of NY and CT. The restaurants Acqua (Westport, CT), Sole (New Canaan, CT), Medterraneo (Greenwich, CT), Aurora (Rye, NY) and Terra (Greenwich, CT) all appeared with their logos on a single line on the Z Hospitality homepage. For the new design, the team needed to incorporate a new restaurant which is the second location for Mediterraneo, slated to open in the new Hotel Zero Degrees (Norwalk, CT). Adding their new restaurant prompted them to seek a Homepage re-design in order to fit all of the necessary elements and incorporate the technical improvements for modern high-end web design.

The Homepage redesign now includes all 6 restaurants with a responsive web design format. The images will adapt to the size of the user’s screen whether on a mobile device or desktop. The scrolling images of the food appear against a clean white background to form a very modern design aesthetic that reinforces the relationship of Z Hospitality Group with high-end cuisine. The former website design lacked clarity of company messaging with photos showcasing Mediterranean locations where the cuisine was inspired from. Users might have confused them with a travel agency at first glance.

Utilizing JavaScript, Skygate Media’s top website designers created a rotating feature to engage users. When users mouseover a logo, it rotates to reveal the location and phone number of that restaurant. When the logo is clicked, it brings users to a separate page containing photos, menus and additional information for the selected restaurant. The individual restaurant pages contain unique branding elements to give each of them a distinct feel.
