Dubai Yacht Consultancy Encourages UAE Activity at Miami Boat Show
UAE yachting market has substantial commercial opportunity for overseas investors.
Miami, FL, February 16, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Dubai-based yacht consultancy Bush & Noble will visit the Miami International Boat Show this weekend with a mandate to develop commercial opportunities within the region on behalf of leading leisure marine companies within the UAE.
Taking the spotlight as one of the world’s most iconic boat shows and Florida’s largest annual event, the Miami International Boat Show will showcase over 3000 boats and 2000 exhibitors from across the globe, according to miamiboatshow.com. Visitors to the show include some of the most influential people from the yachting industry, including worldwide manufacturers, brokers and shipyards. Brett Noble, Managing Partner at Bush & Noble, says the Miami show is key event for the industry on a global scale and has been on the company’s agenda since day one.
“There is a tremendous amount of opportunity that comes with any boat show, but the Miami show is particularly exciting for Bush & Noble. Following discussions with associates both in the Gulf and the USA, we’ve identified significant commercial opportunities which we’re here to explore. The UAE is home to some fantastic marine organisations and boat manufacturers, such as Gulf Craft, which place the UAE on a par with leading yachting hubs within Europe and the Americas. People often think of these places when they think about yachts and we’d like to see the UAE named alongside these iconic destinations.”
Attending the Miami boat show is a strategic move for Bush & Noble ahead of the Dubai International Boat Show. According to John Bush, Managing Partner at Bush & Noble, the trip to Miami isn’t just about buying and selling yachts.
“The market in the UAE is becoming increasingly buoyant and has great potential, particularly if the right people get on board and support its growth. Local authorities and developers have played a huge role in positioning the UAE as a world class location for leisure boating, with state of the art marina facilities and waterfront properties offering unmatched lifestyle opportunities, but to capitalise on this the UAE needs to see more activity from overseas. The Miami boat show is a great place to spread this message.”
The UAE has over 20 marinas and the wider GCC said to be home to approximately 50,000 leisure boats, including the world’s second largest privately owned yacht M/Y Dubai - a 162 metre mega yacht owned by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, ruler of Dubai and Prime Minister and Vice President of the UAE.
The Miami International Boat Show will take place at the Miami Beach Convention Centre in Florida from 14th-18th February, shortly followed by the Dubai International Boat Show held at the Dubai International Marine Club from 5th-9th March.
