Reksoft Project for S7 Airlines Awarded Best Project of the Year by Global CIO

St. Petersburg, Russia, February 16, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Reksoft, a leading software development outsourcing provider in Eastern Europe and part of Technoserv Group, today announced that its project for S7 Airlines has been recognized as a “Project of the Year 2012” by Global CIO.

Global CIO (http://www.globalcio.ru) is the largest community of CIOs from Russian and CIS-based enterprises and is the voice of the Russian IT industry, representing more than three thousand IT directors. The portal provides the opportunity to share real experiences with fellow community members and acquire fresh industry insight.

“The Project of the Year” initiative honours the organizations and IT departments that demonstrate excellence and commitment in bringing to advanced ICT life. The contest is the first independent award to cover the Russian IT industry and was held in autumn 2012. More than 260 projects from all over the country were submitted for review to the Global CIO online community. The uniqueness of the contest lies in the fact that CIOs themselves judge the projects according to a number of criteria agreed upon within the community.

The Global CIO awards provide the foundation for the Russian IT industry to showcase and celebrate innovation and top-notch technology across the country. They also provide the opportunity for organizations and IT directors across different industries to put the spotlight on their achievements.

The project submitted by Reksoft and deployed at S7 Airlines won an award for Best Industry Solution in the Transportation category. The project involved the development of a web portal – http://www.s7.ru – that was aimed at enhancing customer conversion rates through the expansion of the range of S7 services available online. A new technology platform was needed to be deployed that would take into consideration all the existing business logic, functionality and design of the airline’s existing web portal. An event marketing and dynamic recommendations platform were the first to be introduced within the new S7.ru environment.

The Global CIO event highlights once again Reksoft’s experience with web-based solutions and corporate portals that give enterprises a shared information infrastructure with all core functionality, a familiar and user-friendly interface and the necessary tools and flexibility for online collaboration.
