Scope has been honored with the Most Innovative Program Award at the NASSCOM Corporate Awards for Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion - 2012. A Quatrro Group company, Scope is a leading provider of content enhancement and knowledge services.
Chennai, India, February 16, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Scope eKnowledge Center (Scope), a leading provider of content enhancement and knowledge services, is pleased to announce that it has been honoured as the winner of the Most Innovative Program Award at the NASSCOM Corporate Awards for Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion - 2012. The jury, comprising eminent members from NASSCOM and the Industry, followed an extremely rigorous process for evaluating the participants across categories and selecting the final winners.
Scope won the award for its unique implementation of a path-breaking initiative that signaled the empowerment and inclusion of India’s educated rural populace. It also delivered on an ambitious diversity agenda that enabled a significant percentile of educated rural women to establish a career in the Indian BPO-KPO Industry. The Scope 3R – Rigorous, Replicable, Rural – empowerment model leverages the huge unharnessed potential of the educated rural talent pool in the country. Powered by innovative engagement and governance, proven & repeatable hiring and training processes, and a technology-enabled service delivery, this 3R model enabled Scope to stabilize and scale its inclusivity & diversity initiatives. The model utilized benchmarked processes for hiring and training deployed at the Indian metro city centers of Scope. The innovation came in the form of cloud hosting the technology engine enabler of the delivery process.
While the Industry perceives rural India as a solution to perform low-end work, Scope’s 3R model ensures that educated rural talent has a chance to be engaged in knowledge intensive work, promoting a sense of fulfillment without displacement from their native locations.
Commenting on this accomplishment, Tram Venkatraman, Scope’s President, said, “By utilizing a talented rural workforce, Scope has transformed the traditional rural BPO model. Apart from inclusivity, a healthy gender ratio of 50:50 is maintained across our rural locations, promoting economic independence of women in the rural areas. We are delighted to have our program be recognized by NASSCOM.”
