Plant Seeds of Greatness, Green America’s Landscape with CARE
In honor of February as national ‘plant seeds of greatness’ month , Glen Allen VA based The Wright Scoop – Sylvia Hoehns Wright urges all to plant eco seeds of greatness, enable landscapes of CARE – conservation, accountability, recovery and eco-efficiency.
Richmond, VA, February 17, 2013 --(PR.com)-- From the Board room to the class room, as recipient of the "Turning America from Eco-weak to Eco-chic" award, The Wright Scoop – Sylvia Hoehns Wright urges all to green-scape America’s landscape. “Through a celebration of February as national ‘plant seeds of greatness’ month,” says Wright, “all can be inspired to identify their eco impact, if their lifestyles contribute to a positive or negative 'waste not, and want not eco logical commitment.'”
Celebrate Green Week –
To kick off a green focus, National Green Week, a campaign which occurs during the first week in February every year in the United States, is a celebration of "green" intended to teach school children about the three "R"s of the environment: recycling, reusing, and reducing waste. This event is an opportunity for community Board rooms to connect with school rooms. Although National Green Week officially kicked off February 4th, you can choose any week from Feb. 4 through April 30 to participate. Schools and groups alike are encouraged to take this opportunity to spend time with students discussing sustainability topics and exploring ways they can make a difference.
About The Wright Scoop -
“Initially,” says Wright “I defined ‘green’ advocacy as a result of 3 Ps – place, plant and planting strategy; and then, due to nation-wide economic downturn, added ‘purchase’, buy-local. But, after witnessing devastation created by storms such as Sandy, I’ve placed emphasis on the ‘people factor’. So, regardless of which week is selected to host National Green Week, I encourage all to focus on enabling eco ‘seeds of greatness’: activities which sustain eco-healthy urban suburban communities enabling people to CARE – have a perspective of conservation, accountability, recovery and eco-efficiency.”
Spotlighted by Landscape Architect magazine as an Industry "mover & shaker," to inspire others, Wright offers one-on-one consulting, speeches and workshops and has published a series of eco books.
