Sofitel Manila and RunRio’s Battle of the Sexes Fun Run Registration Extended

Pasay City, Philippines, February 21, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The Sofitel Manila-RunRio Battle of the Sexes Charity Fun Run is now rescheduled on the 3rd of March 2013, 5:30am at the SM Mall of Asia Grounds in Pasay in order to accommodate more runners. Aside from the 10k category, runners are now given the option to choose another race category. The Battle of the Sexes Fun Run’s unique concept of male vs female now offers a 5k category. Same mechanics still applies as male and female participants compete with each other in one finish line, one venue and one distance per category.

All runners will have a chance to win the “One Million Luxury Stay Package” which includes a three night’s stay at the Imperial Suite, ten gift certificates of lunch/dinner buffet for two in Spiral and five gift certificates at Le Spa, Sofitel Manila’s luxury spa center. The raffle draw will be held after the race. Likewise, winners of the Battle of the Sexes Fun Run will have one overall winner (each for both 5k and 10k categories) who will win an overnight stay at a Sofitel Suite with breakfast for two at Spiral. Each category will also have one male and one female top winner where each winner will win an overnight stay at a Superior Room with breakfast for two for the 10k category, while, top winners for the 5k category will win lunch/dinner buffet for two at Spiral.

In addition, part of the proceeds of the Sofitel-RunRio Race will go to Virlanie Foundation, a non-government organization (NGO) who provides homes to children in need of special protection and care.

There will be in-store registration at Toby’s MOA, Toby’s SM The Block, Riovana BGC, Riovana Katipunan and Sofitel Philippine Plaza until February 24, 2013. Tickets can also be purchased through online at www.runrio.com.
