Addison Homes to Present "Holding Out for a Zero"
Consumers in Upstate South Carolina are indicating increased interest in Zero-Net Energy homes, which are designed to produce as much energy as they consume. Addison Homes President Todd Usher will present two consumer-friendly seminars -- "Holding Out for a Zero" -- to share the latest developments in Zero-Net Energy construction. These take place during the Southern Home & Garden Show March 1-3 at the TD Convention Center in Greenville.
Greenville, SC, February 24, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Addison Homes, a builder in Greenville, SC, is a featured exhibitor in the 52nd annual Spring Southern Home & Garden Show, which runs March 1-3 at the TD Convention Center.
Presented by the Home Builders Association of Greenville, the Spring Southern Home & Garden Show features the latest products/services for inside and outside the home as well as activities such as educational seminars and children’s workshops. Exhibitors include professional builders, remodelers, specialty contractors and vendors of a wide variety of home-related goods.
Along with exhibiting at Booth #355, Addison Homes President Todd Usher will present “Holding Out for a Zero: Extreme Energy-Efficiency Promises Low – Even No – Utility Bills” on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, March 2 and 3, at 5pm. These consumer-friendly seminars are focused on intriguing new developments in Net-Zero Energy (NZE) construction. NZE homes are designed to create as much energy as they use – and that means residents can say “goodbye” to high utility costs and consumption.
Addison Homes – a company that builds 100% of its homes to rigorous Energy Star®, EarthCraft House™ and/or DOE Challenge Home standards – will have staff available throughout the Home & Garden Show to discuss energy-efficient construction and renovation. They’ll also demonstrate infrared camera technology, a device that’s able to identify air leaks, moisture, insulation issues and other trouble spots affecting not only a home’s energy efficiency but also the homeowner’s health.
Spring Southern Home & Garden Show hours are Friday, noon-8pm; Saturday, 10am-8pm; and Sunday, 1-6pm. Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for seniors and free for children under 12. For more Home & Garden Show details, call (864) 254-0133 or visit www.HBAofGreenville.com.
