Performance Eyecare Now Accepting Submissions for Their “Build Your Dream” Scholarship
Students from Belleville East High School, Belleville West High School, Althoff Catholic High School, and O’Fallon High School are encouraged to submit an essay for a chance to earn the $1,500 scholarship.
Swansea, IL, February 24, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Performance Eyecare, an eye center based here, is beginning to accept submissions to their 2013 “Build Your Dream Scholarship.”
Students from Belleville East High School, Belleville West High School, Althoff Catholic High School, and O’Fallon High School are encouraged to submit an essay for a chance to earn the $1,500 scholarship.
“We believe that it is very important for people to do what they truly love and to spend their life’s work doing something they really have an intense passion for,” said Dr. Dirk Massie, owner of Performance Eyecare.
There are no requirements for GPA nor class rank, and the scholarship winner may put the winnings toward trade school, college, business start-up, or any other scholastic they wish to pursue.
Students interested in the scholarship must submit an essay describing how they have chosen their career path for life after high school and explain how winning the scholarship will assist them in reaching their goals. The length of the essay is however brief or verbose as the participant wishes to make it.
The deadline for the essay is Friday, April 5. Students must turn their essay in to their class advisor and should include their name, phone number, address, city, zip code, email address, graduation date, and the school in which they attend.
“We look forward to reading the participants’ essays and are excited to award this year’s scholarship to the winner,” said Dr. Massie.
