Ace Golf's 2nd Annual Family-Friendly St. Pat's Party Open to All at Mulligans Irish Pub at Wentworth Golf Club.
Tarpon Springs, FL, February 25, 2013 --(PR.com)-- It’s a great day for the Irish and “wanna-be Irish” when St. Patrick’s Day arrives at Ace Golf owned family-friendly Mulligans Irish Pub. The green beer flows along with an Irish Buffet and Live Music next month beginning Saturday evening, March 16th and continuing all day Sunday, St. Patrick’s Day March 17th. Over 1,000 attended the 2012 celebration that spread throughout the Wentworth Golf Club’s pub, banquet room, and veranda, so 2013’s sure to be a blast.
An Old Irish Manor overlooking the greens is the setting for the 2nd Annual Mulligans St. Pat's Bash open to all at the Wentworth Golf Club. This year's party runs Saturday and Sunday with Live Music, Corned Beef & Cabbage, Bangers & Mash and Shepherd’s Pie, Green Beer, Guinness & Drink Specials, Games and Prizes. Live Music with “Broken Roads” starts 6 pm on Saturday. The all-day Sunday St. Pat's Bash starts at 12 pm and continues til late with Live Bands, a $12/plate Irish Buffet, games for the kids & raffles. Students, families and retirees alike come dressed to celebrate in customary festive Irish garb, green leprechaun derby hats and other crazy costumes.
Green Beer flows all weekend along with $5 Guinness Pints, $3.50 16oz. aluminum Bud Lights, and Jameson and Baileys specials. A Saturday Happy Hour begins at 12 pm followed by 2 for 1 Drink Specials from 4-9 pm. There is a $5 cover charge on Sunday only which includes a free draft beer and raffle ticket for prizes; kids under 12 are free.
“Wentworth is a unique, authentic setting to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day from its old-world Irish Pub to its English Manor Clubhouse surrounded by the beautiful golf course. Last year we filled the Pub that seats 90, a new banquet room overlooking the golf course that holds 100+, a new covered outdoor patio with tables for 80, and another seating for 60 outside near the putting green,” says Proprietor Chris Murphy, “It’s all part of Wentworth Golf Club and makes for the prettiest setting you will find for a fun, family-friendly St. Patrick’s Day.” Sunday features games, raffles, “most Irish-looking” contest and “most St. Patty’s spirit”, a photo booth and a leprechaun in search of his pot of gold.
St. Patrick’s Day remains one of the nation’s most celebrated holidays nearly 250 years after the first American celebration took place in Boston in 1762. While a few traditions have changed, wearing green has not, after all, on St. Patty's Bash at Mulligans, everyone is Irish for a day.
Mulligans is an upscale, neighborhood Irish Pub with Irish food as well as salads, sandwiches, wings and gourmet manor burgers. The pub features high ceilings with Irish murals, elegant paintings, 11 flat screen TVs, and a private dining area for groups. Mulligans has an extensive bar offering eight beers on tap, 12 bottled beers, a tempting wine selection, and a daily happy hour from 4-7pm. The pub is open to the public seven days a week, 9 am to 9 pm Sunday through Thursday and 9 am to 10 pm Friday and Saturday with live music every Friday night. A large banquet room accommodates wedding receptions and parties.
