CASE District VII, Has Selected the Fresno State Alumni Association’s "Grad-in-a-Box" as the Bronze Winner of Its Annual Awards of Excellence

Fresno, CA, February 27, 2013 --(PR.com)-- CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education), District VII, has selected the Fresno State Alumni Association’s “Grad-in-a-Box” as the Bronze winner of its annual Awards of Excellence.

Fan in a Box, an innovative new company dedicated to fundraising, promotions, sports marketing and merchandising products, announced today that its Grad in a Box program designed for The Fresno State Alumni Association has been selected to receive The 2013 Bronze Award of Excellence from The Council for Advancement and Support of Education.

CASE District VII annually recognizes excellence in the District. The Awards of Excellence recognize the best practices in alumni relations, fundraising, public/government relations, advancement services, special events and outstanding communications.

The Fresno State Alumni Association approached Fan in a Box seeking an innovative way to salute and honor the Class of 2012. The Fresno State Alumni Association and the Fan in a Box teams worked together to create the perfect Grad in a Box program. Each custom box was filled with items such as; cap, gown and tassel, membership information, chrome license plate frame, T-shirt, discount coupons and various promotional items. The finishing touch to each collectable Grad in a Box was a sound chip that played “Pomp and Circumstance” when opened.

“The ‘Grad-in-a-Box’ concept proved to be extremely popular last year,” reported Jacquelyn K. Glasener, executive director of the Fresno State Alumni Association. “We moved 1,000 units in less than two days, which was our most-successful Grad Fest in more than a decade.”
