Norwalk, CT, February 27, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Spring brings flowers and warm weather, and this year, it brings a totally refreshed event for Keystone House, Inc. of Norwalk. On Friday, April 26, 3013, Keystone House will hold it’s 19th Annual Gala - “Steppin’ Out!” at the newly renovated Norwalk Inn and Conference Center with an entirely new program for the evening.
Traditionally, this event has been on a Thursday evening with mostly business people coming right from work. This year, the Gala Committee decided to make this an opportunity for guests to have a real ‘night out’, moving it to a Friday evening event with live music and dancing. To ensure that guests learn about Keystone, Palace Productions of Norwalk, CT, the Media Sponsor for the evening, offered to write, direct and produce a video about Keystone House, that will make its debut that evening as part of the program.
Another big change includes Easton resident, former News 12 CT anchor and co-host of The Exchange, David Smith, as the celebrity host and auctioneer. In his career, David has conducted over 20,000 interviews with people of interest from around the world and has given generously of his time to help out community organizations throughout Fairfield County.
The evening’s live entertainment will include music by the renowned musical group Déjà Vu, known for their performances at the Norwalk Oyster Festival, Festival Italiano, beach concerts, and area restaurants and clubs. Established in 2000, their musical selections range from swing, soul, doo wop and rock’n’roll with standards from the great American song book including ‘a cappella’ renditions of some favorite doo wop classics. In addition, professional dancers from the legendary Fred Astaire Dance Studios of Norwalk will be performing.
There will be a silent auction, a live auction, open bar, dinner and dancing. The proceeds will benefit the many programs and services Keystone House provides for adults facing the challenges of living with mental illness. Tables of 10 are $1,150 with individual tickets at $125.
